Hi Friends!

I am so proud to be able to announce that after nearly 4 years,  OURMILKMONEY.COM IS NO LONGER CHARGING AN ANNUAL FEE FOR MEMBERSHIP!!

Yep, you heard correctly. If you fit the criteria of a self-employed parent, you may list your products and services in our directory free of charge.

There couldn't be a more perfect time to get the support and exposure your little business deserves, so if you've been waiting to join us, wait no further.

Why are we doing this?

This decision was made after many years of considerable debate and question. The ultimate deciding factor was based on an intense gut instinct that it was time to take a leap of faith and just do what felt right.
To ensure that will continue to make a significant impact on the lives of families across the country, it seemed appropriate that we re-evaluate our motivational objectives and clarify our plan of action. It was evident that our focus should be in building up the numbers of the directory for more potent exposure, rather than for the revenue. As always, its important that the tone of our mission remain sincere and not complicated by a membership fee, minimal or otherwise.
I do not know if I would have had the courage to take this risk without the amazing support of my volunteer staff, who backs me up 200% on moving forward with this exciting little risk. We all believe in this mission, and believe in our potential to make a difference in the lives of families with small businesses. But more than that, we believe that somehow the funding will present itself when we are in need. The most important thing now is that we build the directory. We'd like to be able to count on you to help us get the word out and become the largest online family business directory in the world. Now that it is 100% free to participate, there is simply no reason for any self-employed parent not to take advantage of this mission!
We intend to keep driving our ambition full force, and we are truly excited for what lies ahead.
Appropriately in time for Thanksgiving, we are grateful for you and your participation in this movement. Please, make an extra effort to be good to one another now and always.

At Our Milk Money, we don't discriminate. Moms have great stories to share, but so do the Dads. It is definitely a sign of the times when Dads from all over the world begin to step up as primary care-takers and embrace their roles as stay-at-home parents.

Welcome Back Chris Loprete! The father of Our Milk Money, began writing his experiences as a new father upon the launch of Our Milk Money, calling his work, appropriately, The Daddys Den.
In one of his brilliant albums that I endlessly listened to growing up, Mel Brooks said “We mock the things we are to be.” My father and I always loved that line, but he obviously understood it … Continue reading

From Ally Loprete, Blogger and CEO of I recently experienced a terrific revelation that I'd like to share with you just in time for Thanksgiving.  Last week I was able to experience first hand the power that we have to positively affect one another and how that result can carry itself into a global impact instantaneously, even without our knowledge.  How often have you stopped to think about the repercussions of the slightest benevolent action, such as giving a stranger a compliment, or tracking down a role model to thank them for their inspiration? Parents, what you don't need is another public motivator telling you to stand up and take action. I am convinced that you already have the motivation you need to make a change for the better. What you don't have are the tangible solutions to put your enthusiasm into action. We've just started a new 13 week series and this time we are going to bring you real hands on courses of action that will allow you to leave the traditional work force and come home!
These next 13 weeks we'll be bringing you step by step tutorials on things like approaching your current employer with a telecommute proposal, surviving as a family on a single salary, and how to effectively barter yourself and your services to compensate for what may be lacking in your bank account. We'll bring you already established home based business models, like mom blogging, virtual assisting, project management, and a whole lot more. (read more)
